  • Who is the Guardian ?

Dear Baha’i Friend,

Allahuabha

Your loyalty is with whom?

Is it towards sans Guardian Organisation based on heresy and which is responsible for misguiding all the lovers of religion of God, Or towards the Center of Covenant Abdul Baha and towards the First Guardian of the Faith Shoghi Effendi?

If you yourself study the Will and Testament of Abdul Baha you will find that

“It is incumbent upon the Guardian to appoint another Guardian (His successor) in his life time.”

Are you ready to believe that our First Guardian, Shoghi Effendi, against the wishes of the Center of the Covenant, did not appoint second Guardian in his lifetime? No. Never. it is impossible.

Through a series of Cablegrams, between 1950 and 1957, Shoghi Effendi established the embryonic International Baha’i COuncil. Shoghi intended that this Council would involve through several steps, first as the International Baha’i Court, and than into the Universal House of Justice. Shoghi Appointed an American Hand of the Cause, Mason Remey, as its President.

In this way Shoghi Effendi appointed Mason Remy, as his successor, the second Guardian of the Baha’i Faith, since the President of the Universal House of Justice and the Guardian are one and the same person.

Shoghi Effendi died suddenly in London in November, 1957. As he left no Will, it was assumed by the Hands that he had not named a successor.

Regarding the Hand’s decision that the Guardianship had ended. It states that they sent a message to the Baha’i world declaring the end of the Guardianship. In fact, although they made the decision that the Guardianship was “badaa’ they did not announce it and kept it secret so that they could slowly condition the believers to accept the end of the Guardianship.

Mason Remy tried hard to convince these Hands of Cause and asked them not to separate Guardianship from the Baha’i Faith, They could not be convinced and they pushed the Baha’i world towards such darkness from where it was difficult for the Baha’is to come out.

In 1960, Mason Remey declared that Shoghi Effendi had appointed him as the second guardian of the Baha’i Faith.

Joel B. Marangella received a letter from Mason Remey dated 5 December, 1961, instructing him to keep the enclosed envelope unopened, until such time as he felt appropriate. Then, on 21 September 1964, Mason publicly announced the creation of the Second International Baha’i Council, naming Joel B. Marangella as its President. Soon thereafter, Joel opened the sealed 1961 document. which asked Joel to tell the Baha’i world that Mason had appointed Joel as the Third Guardian.

In the summer of 1965, Mason instructed Joel to tell the Baha’i World of the activation of the Council, and the October issue of the “Glad Tidings” did so. Joel B. Marangella served as the third guardian of the Faith
